A nature lover through and through
Ah yes, that is me caught in the rain on my birthday. But a little rain won't dampen my spirits. I love a good rainy day as do the manatees behind me (or so it appears). There is something so rejuvenating about the rain. To me, there is no such thing as bad weather (ok well maybe except a hurricane, tornado, or extreme heat but I digress), because there is so much to explore, marvel at, and enjoy outside.
That is why nature is my biggest inspiration. It is stunning but haunting, delicate yet harsh, simple and dynamic, exquisite and gross. Much of my art and designs are inspired by local floral, fauna and scenery you may find here in the Sunshine State as well as the occasional National Park... and yes flowers, all the flowers too.
As a landscape designer by day, I paint the landscape in plants and flowers. As an artist by night, I bring floral and fauna to life in brush strokes and thread. It is exciting and fun to be able to bring things I love to life through art, thread, and design and I am so glad I can share that love and passion with you here on this little corner of the internet.
